Here we are, Sandro Montelbano retired some weeks ago and won't rider anymore for Matrix Team. Of course he'll remain in memory of all OCM managers for all that he's done.
A unfisnished list of accomplishements:
-9 times winners of Essex Tour (plus 4 times in the GC, so 13 times in the top 9 GC in a row) and twice YC winner.
-Also 3 times winner in Cymru Taith, and once in the tour creating in his honour, Giro di Montelbano.
-43 wins, 82 results and 11370 points scored in career making him one of the best rider ever even without counting jerseys
-About jerseys, current leader of ranking for riders with the most jerseys and trophy, with 13 for him alone !
-Holder of the hour record for many seasons now (do not know exactly when he made his performance).
An incredible rider, who won't be replace of forgotten, we wish him the best and are more than glad to see his name stay at the team as a staff member as trainer to share his experience and help the younger to improve.

Voilà, nous y sommes. Sandro Montelbano a finalement pris sa retraite à l'âge de 36 ans. Il ne courera donc plus mais ne sera pas oublier pour autant tant il aura marquer l'histoire d'OCM.
Voici une liste non-exhaustive de ses exploits :
-Vainqueur à 9 reprises du tour Essex Tour (plus 4 fois dans le top 9 final, soit 13 top 9 consécutifs), et 2 fois vainqueur du classement du meilleur jeune.
-Vainqueur également 3 fois au Cymru Taith, et 1 fois dans un tour créer spécialement en son honneur pas Nick, le Créateur, Giro di Montelbano.
-43 victoires, 82 résultats et pas moins de 11370 points accumulés au long de sa longue carrière, faisant de lui un des coureurs les plus prolifiques jamais vu à OCM.
-Si on ajoute les maillots, cela donne un total de 13 pour lui seul, le plaçant en tête du classement des coureurs ayant gagné le plus de maillots ou de trophées.
-Toujours détenteur à ce jour et depuis de nombreuses années du record de l'heure.
Un coureur incroyable en résumé, qui ne sera ni remplacé, ni oublié. Nous lui souhaitons le meilleur et nous nous réjouissons de le voir rester dans l'équipe comme entraineur pour aider les nouveaux coureurs et partager son expérience.
